Ryan and Ryden’s trip to the Philippines really included some flying. Aside from the 8 airplane rides ( US to Manila, to Cebu and Davao), they actually did some “flying”. The zipline at Camp Sabros allows you to be flying above ground for about 40 seconds, about 400 meters, some 300 ft above the ground. What an experience for my 3 year old. He calls it the “Superman” ride! I can’t believe Ryden did it!
Camp Sabros is located in Kapatagan, on top of a hill about an hour and a half ride from Davao. The name ”Sabros” is short for Sacdalan Brothers. My uncle, Edwin Sacdalan, runs the place. It used to be a private rest house until they opened it to the public. Even without the ziplines, I have always loved it! The view here is spectacular! It is such a relaxing scenery. I will definitely do the ziplines when I visit.

For most pinoys, karaoke is a part of the barkada hangin out scene. There is a karaoke machine in every Filipino household. I have one, even if I don’t sing. But lately, I have been noticing that the rockband has replaced the tradition. This game is crazy addicting. You play it at home, you play it with your friends. My friend Andrew even plays it at Bestbuy! It’s also a great way to break the “ice” with new acquaintances. Who wouldn’t want to “rock out”? For non-singers like me, I get to showcase my talent with the guitar and sometimes the drums. Rockband appeals to all ages. You gotta have one!

When my bestfriend Lissy & Jay invited me to join them for dinner at Sensi @ Bellagio. I knew right away which to order! Their Miso-Glazed Chilean Seabass topped with Shiso, Shiitake Mushrooms, Radish Salad on a bed of Baby Bok Choy with Ginger Dashi Broth is just heaven! I also had the Strawberry Cruz, which reminded me of the Lava Flow in Hawaii. Yummm… To top it off, Lawrence our server sounded so cute with his British accent, we wanted him to record our voice message greeting! Thanks for dinner Mimi and Charles. It was lovely.
